Pressure
by Dr. Chris Brown

Stepping away to get the reboot. To find the reignition.

Motivation and discipline are interesting concepts.

On one end, motivation is used as gas fluid to the fire. The fire was already burning, it just got revved up for a brief moment.

Then the fire dies down.

So what keeps the fire lit? What keeps it afloat, what gives it breath?

That’s where discipline comes into play. But with discipline needs to be play. Needs to be retreat. Needs to be the systems that can be introduced to allow discipline to stay high during the day.

In addition to motivation, pressure creates fuel as well. Some kind of pressure to get placed upon with serious consequences to force discipline. Because talking about discipline is one thing and its super cool to talk about discipline. But it’s another to actually demonstrate it.

So what area are you lacking discipline? What’s the consequence for losing that streak of discipline?

Pick the category that you value most in this current season. Use that as the pressure to create the motivation to force the discipline.

Create the bottom of the 9th. Bases loaded, nobody out. Create the pressure.
