Subconscious Body
by Dr. Chris Brown

The subconscious body is an interesting phenomena.

Think of a scenario where you mentally thought you could do something bold, something you wouldn’t normally do. You imagine the whole scenario, mock all the outcomes that could happen, the “putting yourself out there.”

Now take inventory. How does your body feel? Is it tingling? Shaky? Nervous?

This is your subconscious body perceiving that “scenario” as a threat, as a predator. It’s trying to freeze you into fright so that you don’t do the bold thing that you are thinking of doing. It’s a neurochemical connection between body and brain, brain and body.

This is why most of us are stuck in a place where our body controls our mind, controls our life. Is the life you’re trying to live one where you are stuck in your body so bad that you can’t break free?

If you want to “be” that version of yourself that you always envision being, then you have to go from “thinking” to “doing” to “being”. Being is a state where everything is automatic. Its unconscious, you don’t have to consciously think about doing the thing you have to do. Doing is a state where you are consciously taking the thought that you are resisting and overriding it.

Majority of humans are stuck in “thinking”. And they never get to doing or being.

They’re just stuck. Stuck in the habit of being themselves.

Time to get unstuck.
