Susceptible Mind
by Dr. Chris Brown

Is your mind susceptible?

Susceptible to what?

Susceptible to distractions. Worries. People. Relationships. A tough conversation looming. Justifying your actions. The list goes on.

Sure we can push those thoughts down and away and not address them as they come up.

But what will the result of that be?

Entrapped energy leaks out as misspoken words. Haphazard tone. Impulsive assumptions.

It is going to be expressed at some point. But the root of avoiding diving into the depths of understanding thoughts is rarely beneficial.

Ask yourself why. Why is this in my head? What is the purpose for this thought coming up?

All thoughts have a purpose. When we don’t address it with the depth diving question of why is it here, we leave an opportunity open for it to come back with greater intensity.

Thus you are susceptible. Your mind becomes consequently more and more susceptible each time you don’t address the root of the fruit that is being presented.

And thus mental freedom wisps away.
