Victims

A victim in today’s world

Is nothing more than someone stuck. Someone stuck in their own head. Stuck blaming events, stuck blaming others for where they are at in life. There’s zero ownership, zero accountability, zero action. It’s sitting on their heels and hoping someone will come to save them.

Here’s a news flash: no one is coming to save you.

The only thing you gain by sitting and wallowing in your lack of self drive is a greater gap between where you want to be and where you are at.

The script changes when you take action. Just one actionable item. Get through it and get it done. Maybe take a little break and pick the next thing. But there is nothing that builds confidence, esteem, motivation and momentum better than doing the thing you envisioned yourself doing. That part in your head that’s screaming “do what you know you need to do”.

But if you know what you need to do, that means you have awareness. Awareness, especially self awareness, is step one. That’s when you realize “I’m in a pit and its me who got me here.”

How you got there? That takes deep reflection, inventory, analysis of the different buckets in your life and which one is rotting in interference, in blockage. Faith, fitness, family, finance, friendships. Dig till you find the roots. Find out why the roots became the way they are. Tell someone about the roots, receive feedback on the roots, find out what new roots will be planted.

Victims have what everyone else has. Two hands. They just don’t use them correctly.
